Two More Habitat Homes

Recently we have designed and donated two more new homes designs for Habitat for Humanity. Making these designs the Sixth and Seventh homes designed and donated by Mark Hovis Designs

One will be built at 403 South Jefferson Street in Farmington, Missouri and the other will be built at 214 Adam Street in Park Hills, Missouri. Things are wrapping up and the final touches are being added to the first three cottages being built in Walden Park. The Adelaide, The Rosetta and The Bedford, are the latest cottage designs from Mark Hovis Designs. These new cottage designs have the warmth and comfort every home should. The floor plans ranging from 1200 to 1580 sq/ft are perfect for those who are scaling down or for those just starting out. The owners suite and the entertaining areas are generously sized, yet have a quaint and cozy feel. If you are out’n about in the Cape Girardeau area…drive by, take a look and maybe even sit a spell.

3D Rendered Concept of Main Street Station-mark hovis designs

Mark Hovis Designs was in attendance at the dedication ceremony Monday evening in Jackson Missouri for the Main Street Station building. Mark Hovis Designs designed the exterior look of the building. The developers of Main Street Station hired a local architect to design their commercial building, but the exterior elevations were lacking curb appeal, so the developers commissioned us to create a few elevation concepts that would help the exterior of the building make a statement and give the building a “landmark” look. We made a digital 3D model of the building from the architects floor plan and came up with a couple of exterior 3D rendering concepts and presented the options to the client in 3D rendered still images and 3D animated videos. After the client chose an exterior style, we generated conceptual exterior elevations for the architect to use to create his final drawings.

Construction begins on Mark Hovis Designs Cottage Collection of Walden Park

Construction has begun on the Cottages of Walden Park in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Walden Park is a TND (Traditional Neighborhood Development) in which Mark Hovis Designs has provided design services for all the homes and cottages. The Cottage Collection of Walden Park consist of three floor plans ranging from 1200 to 1580 sq/ft with several floor plan variations and elevation options. The Home Collection of Walden Park consist of plans ranging from 1500 to 2200 sq/ft single family homes with Craftsman, Traditional and Colonial style elevations. There are two current homes available for purchase the Cambridge and the Merrimack. There is an open house scheduled for both homes on Sunday June 6 from 1:00pm – 2:30pm. Walden Park amenities abound, including a 4,000 square foot Clubhouse, high-speed internet access, four ponds, two parks, several walking trails and neighborhood swimming pool. The Clubhouse features a fitness center, community meeting room, a coffee bar and wi-fi access. Walden Park offers considerable green space throughout and is within walking distance of the Missouri Department of Conservation Nature Center and Cape County Park. Mark Hovis donates design services to Habitat for Humanity.

On Tuesday May 18th, 2010, Mark Hovis of markhovisdesigns.com delivered house plans to Linda Dickerson, Executive Director for the St. Francois County Missouri Habitat for Humanity. The house plans were designed and donated by mark hovis designs for the St. Francois County Habitat’s 13th home that is scheduled to be built this summer. The home will be located at 407 Jefferson Street in Farmington, Mo. Mark Hovis Designs also donated design services, house plans and 3D renderings for SFC Habitat’s 12th home constructed in Park Hills late last year. In addition markhovisdesigns.com donated plans for two homes for the Jefferson County Habitat in 2009.
